Emotion Code Certification Requirements

NOTICE: We have had to change the requirements for certification in The Emotion Code. This is to ensure that all certified practitioners have adequate and extensive knowledge of The Emotion Code. All applicants for certification going forward must meet all the following requirements (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY):
1. Attend at least one Emotion Code Seminar or purchase The Body Code System and watch the Body Code Seminar DVDs.
2. Read The Emotion Code book or eBook in full
3. Perform at least 1 complete session* (see note below) on 30 different individuals
*Each session using The Emotion Code should consist of as many emotions as the individual is able to release at the time and most people are able to release around 3 to 7 emotions in one session
- Your total number must include at least 3 animals, or if you are mainly working with animals, it must include a minimum of 10 people
- Half of your sessions may be done remotely if you so choose
- Only sessions completed after attending the seminar will count towards certification!
- You may use yourself as one of your 30 clients
4. You must use our Session Record form for each session you perform.
- Download our New Interactive Electronic Session Record Form
- After opening the file you can print selected pages and take them with you to your appointments and later fill the information into the form
NOTE: We have updated our Session Record forms. As of February 15th we will only be accepting these new forms.You will know exactly what is left for you to do for your certification requirements because our automated form will prompt you! For help on downloading and filling out this form, Click Here. You may also want to watch this short video to help you understand how to use these forms. (Once you open the file, you may also print these forms and take them with you to see your clients if you don’t have a mobile computer.)

5. All trapped emotions must be noted in the Trapped Emotions section of your worksheets
- Remember to include the client’s age when they occurred, or any other pertinent information that arises (see Sample Session Record Form)
6. You must clear the Heart-Wall from at least 4 subjects (at least 3 must be human!)
- NOTE: You will probably have to perform several sessions on each of these 4 subjects in order to clear the Heart-Wall completely
- You must send in ALL forms and it must be noted clearly when the Heart-Wall has been completely cleared!
7. You must send your completed Session Records to Certification@TheEmotionCode.com within 90 days of the date of the seminar that you attended
- If you’ve purchased The Body Code System, you can complete your Emotion Certification at any time
- You can also fax them to us at 866-691-9104. Please include an email (or cover sheet if faxing) with the following information:
- Your Name
- Email addres
- Mailing Address
- Telephone Number
- Date and Location of seminar last attended
(*Remember that on February 15 we will require that you use the new interactive session records form.)
- Your Session Records will then be reviewed by our staff, who will then contact you about the next step.
8. Once you meet all the above qualifications, you will then be sent our Examination via email
- This is to make sure that you have correct and adequate knowledge of the principles of The Emotion Code
- The fee for the exam is $97
- The exam will cover material that you learned at the seminar as well as material in the book.
9. As soon as you pass the exam, you will receive a Level I certificate via return mail with our congratulations!

Yes, 30 different subjects is required. You can do it!

I don’t have a way for you to complete the form online; it is probably more convenient to just print it out, fill it out, and then fax it to me at 888 704 8381; it would be more convenient for me if you wait and fax them all at the end. When you fax them to that number, they appear as a .pdf for me in my inbox, so that works pretty well. Keep going!

I must confess I haven’t finished your wonderful book yet, nearly there! and I find it extremely interesting and inspiring. It really resonates with me. I have been doing EFT for over a year now so I have some understanding of energy medicine.
I checked the “certification” link in your website and after reading all the posts I thought it would be wonderful if I could organise a seminar here in the South of England, where I live.

Hi Dr. Brad,
I love your book and read it on one day. It really resonates with me, especially as I have always loved magnets, and have lots of them. I heard on one of the teleseminars that you might be coming to Ireland this year. Is this still a possibility, and could I persuade you to come to Cork!
I have used this with family and friends. I get them to hold the sheet of emotions without looking at it, and I also ask “Is it the first emotion on row 1 (whichever row it is), instead of actually naming the emotion. I do this in case the conscious mind would get involved in deciding which emotion it wants to have released. I also get the person to do the sway test instead of me testing them, so that I don’t interfere with their results? What do you think of this?

We are working on coming to Ireland, we were planning originally on coming in August of this year, but it seems all you UKers go on vacation during August, so we are now looking at September. Keep your eye on the Events Tab at the top of this blog for any changes, and we will announce the trip when things firm up.
As far as the testing method you are using, sure, why not? Whatever works best for you, if it is working, go for it!

Yes, it will; this way, people all over the world will have the opportunity to become certified without having to necessarily travel huge distances!

An interesting thing happened today during a session with my mother.
We had originally determined that her heart wall was 45 feet thick. After releasing an emotion it dropped to 42. Then we veered off to deal with fear of flying. When we returned to the heart wall, it had added a foot to 43! Can’t really explain that except that maybe the subconscious was a little flustered with the treatment?
Later in the session, whilst I was asking how thick the heart wall was after releasing another emotion, I mistakenly asked in ‘inches’ instead of the original ‘feet’. It didn’t seem to matter. So I then asked if the heart wall was x amount of ‘units’ rather than feet, inches, meters etc. The answer was yes. I then asked if the it mattered what the measurement was. Answer ‘no’. So I just carried on asking for the measurement in units and it seemed to work.
What’s your thoughts?
Also, I wanted to test if I was surrogate testing correctly. So I placed my hand on my mother’s shoulder and went through the testing procedure for trapped emotions,(using the finger testing technique). My mother turned away so she could not see what I was doing and I asked all the questions silently in my head. I went all the way to the emotion and the year it happened. Then I repeated the procedure testing her directly in the normal manner. We came to the exact same answer! This blew me away. It’s early days and I need to see results but wow.

Interesting findings. The Heart-Wall is a creation of the subconscious mind, of course, and the thickness doesn’t really matter, in the long run; it’s more of an interesting finding than a critical, ‘must-know’ kind of finding. Since the subconscious mind controls it, and the ‘thickness’ of it, it could change the thickness, or even the Heart-Wall material at will. But I don’t think I have seen one get bigger during the process of releasing emotions… Still, I can see why it could happen. Probably a subconscious mind feeling a bit skittish. Hang in there!

Hi Dan-
We have been working very hard most of this year on the Body Code System, which is an information package on natural healing that we just finished. We are now turning our attention to getting the Emotion Code information up and available online, and we hope to have it up and working within the next 4 weeks or so. These things take quite a bit of time to get accomplished, unfortunately, but we are working on it. The Body Code Package is done, and should be shipping within about 10 days, and it contains a complete Body Code Seminar, which includes all the Emotion Code information in it, and anyone who purchases the Body Code Package will be able to become certified in the Body Code by viewing the DVDs and filling the other requirements as well.

Hi Dr. Brad,
I am a recently qualified Physiotherapist and want to become a certified emotional code practitioner, as I feel it surpasses any other type of healing that I’ve heard of so far. I don’t have a private practice and am working within the health system in the UK so wouldn’t be insured and it also wouldn’t be within my stated scope of practrice to use the emotional code with the patients I treat.
My 2 questions are
1. When are you coming bk to the UK (as I only heard of the emotional code after you’d been here in Sept) or Ireland so that I can attend the seminar?
2. Also, I’m only in the UK a no. of months so don’t know many people, so not sure how I’d get 30 people to practice with to become certified. Can you suggest anything?

We don’t have a date yet for our next seminar in the UK, but hope to get back over sometime next year, hopefully during the late spring or early summer. As far as finding enough people to test, I would start with friends and family, and ask them to give you the names of their friends!

I think I shouldn’t expect you to come here, Malaysia, and do a seminar about The Emotion Code along with The Body Code, per chance. I’ve read The EC, but still haven’t quite able to do the muscle test on my own. The knowledges really fascinated me, I know like it is all true. I admit to it, like that is what’s really happening inside me. Like others in here, I would really love to see The Emotion Code classes or seminars online someday, the practical works accordingly. How about setting up a EC Club Members website? Is it The Body Code package that just went out in YouTube were for that purpose?

if a little jump over seas to Europe ( in this case Brussels or Antwerp ) would be a possibility to come and give a seminar.Seminar would be for 2010 I supose. I have experience a session from one of your students and I also read the Emotion Code Book. It really interest me and was wondering when you might be coming to Ohio again. I am hard of hearing…not deaf and find it difficult to get information from large seminars that are loud and noisy. Would this pose a problem? I was also interested in purchasing the Body Code system you have recently brought out. I am a License Massage Therapist and I have experience the outcome of my heart wall release and seen results to people that your student did in our salon and I am really amaze.

I have a question regarding certification.
It says that 50% of the treatments may be done remotely(proxy).
Can I do the rest of the treatments testing myself when the person being treated is in the same room?
What do you call this kind of testing? Surrogate?

Yes, you can do the rest of the testing by testing yourself, and yes, this is surrogate testing. However, I would advise you to do as much testing on other people as you can, as it builds their faith in the process when they can feel their arm weaken, etc.

I have to tell u a fabulous story about a heartwall I began. I practiced with a girlfriend of mine who also uses energy work as a way to release stress. Our first session was amazing and she released many emotions with clear immediate processing. After our session was done for the day she called me back and she mentioned that she was doing self testing and that she found four heartwalls. Hmm, I thought that is not the Emotion Code book intent, but okay. I began realizing she was combining her own methods with what she learned at our session and I had to remind her to read your book. However, she has not done so and has cleared her own heartwalls. The great part of the story is this…while combining her other energy methods another friend of hers is an intuitive and together they had created a safe around her heart. With visualizing she began to open the safe to clear the emotions out of it. While attempting to open her safe she had to stop. She says to the intuitive, “Um, I don’t have the CODE.” I had to just share this unique opportunity with you to let the world now that “The Emotion Code” if read is a simple and unique healing process that no one wants to miss out on. Even though I won’t be using this gals heartwall for certification purposes. I wanted to express how beautifully powerful the realms of heaven play such a very important role in energy work. All my prayers leaned to clearing her heartwall and the best part is she was able to clear it herself, but it always led her back to Dr. Bradley Nelson & Jean Nelson’s “heartwall” intent one emotion at a time. The processing that takes place is gratefully graced from above and your never alone. The unique individual love for yourself is so divine and through this energy healing process the magnificent truths of yourself are identifiable. You don’t want to miss out on this book. Really interesting! I’ve never actually seen a “safe” around the heart, but I have seen Heart-Walls made of all kinds of different materials, and sometimes they will have a “door” or a “window.” You just never know. Believe me, I don’t have enough imagination to come up with this on my own. And if it wasn’t for my wife Jean, the world still would not know about this amazing phenomenon, because it was her dream that led to the discovery of the Heart-Wall. She’s amazing! Thanks for sharing this great story.
I spoke with a woman not too long ago, who told me that she consciously knew that she had a Heart-Wall for many years. She would describe it to her therapists, who really didn’t know what to make of it. She told me that when she read the Emotion Code book for the first time, suddenly she knew that she wasn’t crazy but that her Heart-Wall was real, all along. Thank you, God!
